BlackHawk! Night-Ops Gladius Illumination Tool
The
BlackHawk Night-Ops Gladius gives you maximum flexibility from very low
levels of light (fully adjustable), to its unique high-output Strobe
function.
The Gladius features 3 Channels and several Modes
within Channel 3. Change from one type of light to another quickly and
easily through an intuitive user-interface.
The light features a
strobe capability, a first in a small handheld/weapons mountable
tactical flashlight. The Gladius Strobe channel is specifically
designed to give you the reactionary gap you need to prevail against a
wide variety of threats. The Strobe is extremely disorienting to those
on the receiving end, yet allows the operator to maintain excellent
situational awareness.
The more familiar momentary and Constant ON
switching are quickly and easily accessed all with one-finger
operation. The Gladius flashlight features a unique lock-out system
that is useful for tactical operations. The Light can seamlessly and
securely Locked-out to avoid needless battery and potentially
compromising light discharges. The Gladius can be reactivated under
duress literally with a snap of your fingers.

Features
When is a flashlight worth over $200?
I have been carrying this flashlight on my duty belt for the past five months and love it! I have only needed to change the batteries (3v lithium) one time and have enjoyed its intensely-bright beam in the worst of conditions.
The bezel of this flashlight rotates into three modes... my favorite of which is the "strobe" mode. In the strobe mode, this light is simply stunning! I have used the strobe mode to both blind / disorient subjects on high risk stops and encounters and to grab the attention of motorists approaching me at night.
This light can go from a very faint dim setting, perfect for keeping your position concealed, to pure blue-white blinding light in the matter of a thumb press of the button.
Simply stated, I love this light. Though I carry an additional light in my patrol bag for wooded-area searches and more extended use, for a light that is unobstusive and fits on a duty belt, this little powerhouse can't be beat!
